Bridging Science and Quality: Advancing Biotechnology Through Precision and Innovation
My Journey
From the vibrant landscapes of Nigeria to the advanced research laboratories of North Carolina A&T State University, my journey in biotechnology has been driven by an unwavering commitment to scientific excellence and practical impact.
My fascination with animal sciences and laboratory research began during my National Diploma studies at the Federal College of Agriculture in Akure, where I discovered the profound impact that precise scientific methods could have on animal health and food safety. This foundation propelled me to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Animal Production and Health at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta.
Professional Evolution:
My professional career has spanned diverse environments—from veterinary clinics in Lagos to quality control laboratories at UAC Group's Livestock Feeds PLC, and now to cutting-edge university research facilities. Each role has shaped my expertise in:
Molecular Biology: Mastering techniques like CRISPR-PCR, ELISA, Flow Cytometry, and high-throughput RNA extraction
Quality Systems: Implementing FDA-compliant procedures, GLP protocols, and HACCP systems
Leadership: Managing laboratories, mentoring undergraduate researchers, and leading cross-functional teams
Beyond the Lab:
I am committed to knowledge sharing and community building. As a mentor, I take pride in developing the next generation of scientists—one of my mentees recently won a prestigious research award. I'm also active in professional organizations including the International Embryo Technology Society, American Association for the Advancement of Science, and Gamma Sigma Delta.
